Look Keo pedals

Does any one know whether Look keo peddles have  a guarantee for a year or so.  My  left pedal suddenly stopped working properly and my foot would come out too easy. The LBS said  they couldn't adjust the spring. So had to buy a new pair. They are only 8 months old. Maybe Mr LOOK can help me. They were the R800 range.
