Just looking at that tripod part it's going to drive you nuts. You need a proper 3 legged stand.

I have one that I bought several years ago - quite expensive then

(around a grand, if I remember correctly).

 

They are frikkin' brilliant. Very adjustable with an excellent clamp.

It's a quality unit - nice and decently weighted. It is very stable (the

three legs form a tripod for those worrying about a lack of a tripod!).

 

I have put my tandem on it without any thought of it toppling over.

 

The unit folds up very nicely and easily for storage.

 

Highly recommended if you can get it at a decent price.

Thanks, was just looking at the clamping Mech esp. A smudge over R2K from CRC. The park tool is just over R3K.
