Do some core exercises so your back can take the pounding from riding a hardtail

 

Practise riding "lightly" on the bike. Dont grip your bars, easy on the brakes.

 

How well attuned is your backside to your saddle?

Converting to tubeless, lekker fat UST tyres, imported bibshorts and a thudbuster or other suspension seatpost will all make a difference.

 

Getting all of the above, would probably also cost you the same as looking aroud for a bargain on thehub for a 2nd hand dual suspension frame...Wink
