I wanted some MTB SPD shoes but.......

My old Diadoras started to shed tread faster than my hair is falling so my research started........

After getting the name of the two Raleigh Ranger stockists in PE (from Probike), I made the 130km groot trek last Saturday to view and try on them (and other shoes).

Shop A: nothing in my size (45 or 46), no offer to obtain them.....I ended up looking at Specialized and Olympic......the sales assistant dude was obviously trying to handle as many customers at a time that he could and could only spend a few minutes with me before rushing off. The shop WAS crazy busy though, but my coin is also legal tender. So, off to Shop B....rather seriously wetted off....

Shop B: much more relaxed but.....the Rangers were more than 200 bills more than the RRP I got from Probike and that of Shop A......no way Jose......sales oke showed me a last year Sidi pair and then stated that the Raleighs were very low end and equivalent in quality to the Olympic....what? Really?

I really like the Rangers (in view of the features vs price) but where oh where........? If they last half as well as the Sidi and Specialized I'd be dead happy (they're half the price)...................and they have the ratchet thingie as well as a substantial looking tread...

Any suggestions? Maybe Solomons is the way to go?
