Handle bar lenght

I have just fitted a carbon bar onto my mongoose teocali . Not only for the weight but they are shorter They measure 620mm and the old one were 660mm. I did a race on Wednesday and found that the bike was much more controlable , especialy through fast corners , Thick sand and climbing rocks . Any one else notice a difference from shorter bars or do i Just feel better becasue they look better

This topic has been widely discussed on the hub. A shorter handlebar definately makes a difference. It will be more responsive. The bike will now turn sharper with less "hand travel" on the handlebar.
