Touring in southern Africa

Just finished a month long solo bicycle tour of northern Natal. Had plenty of great experiences and inevitably a few not so good, but that's par for the course. Avoided tarred roads wherever possible and thus saw places well off the beaten track. Accommodation ranged from campsites, sleeping in the bushes, pitching tent in a Zulu kraal, one night of luxury at Phinda and everything in-between.

 

Blatant promotion follows: The most unexpected and ultimately fulfilling was at Futululu (http://www.futululu.co.za). At the end of a long day, had ridden from False Bay near Hluhluwe, I found a beautiful resort in Monzi near St. Lucia. Call Maggie or Johan, you won't be disappointed.
