Scott Spark 40 vs Merida 96 3000D alu

Hi guys, I need some help to choose between the mentioned bikes. The Merida is about R1500 more expensive. Any comments will be appreciated. Comparison of components, geometry etc...??

Scott = 11.5kg

Merida = 12.7kg

Scott comes std with twin lock out pain in the butt when you want only the rear to lock I own the 2011 merida 96 3000d and I love it it comes with 30 speed gears,no contest buy the merida

Do a search for "Merida 96". Some people have found the suspension setup at the rear... odd.
