Cycle Lab Pietermaritzburg Christmas Ride

Hi everyone,

 

We will be doing our very first Christmas charity ride from Cycle Lab Pietermaritzburg on Friday the 24th of December, we would like to meet at 4.45am and start the ride at 5am.

The route that we have planned is to ride up Fox hill, around the back of Dards, up Polly Shorts, back to the shop. The route will be about 45km long.

Cycle Lab Pietermaritzburg will provide a backup vehicle with spares should anyone need assi...stance but please carry a tube and pump with you. Two bottles will be sufficient for everyone.

We are planning to take around two hours which means that an average speed of 22.5km/h is on the cards.

Anyone is welcome.

 

Because this is a charity ride we would like to ask that everyone brings a donation of some sort, whether it is money, food, clothes, blankets etc. Your donation will be hugely appreciated by the less fortunate.

Cycle Lab Pietermaritzburg will decide on the charities that will receive the donations.

 

Please note that there will be no road closure, helmets are compulsory and please be aware of motorists. Riders are asked to ride maximum two abreast but only if it is safe to do so.

 

The coffee shop will be open after the ride for anyone wanting a cup of coffee or a little something to eat after the ride.

Sounds like a chilled ride round a great route. I only ever hit that part of the country at the Shova!
