SPOKE NIPPLES CORRODING

Hi Guys,

 

I have broken 4 spoke nipples in the last 2 months. It started just after i converted to tubeless? I am told that it can be the tubeless sealant that corrodes the aluminium spoke nipples. I did not use the rim tape provided as the tyre sealed good enough, i left the rim strip on which came standard with the rim and just used the tubeless rim strip on topof it..

 

You can however see dried up sealant on all the spoke nipples. It must have leaked through..will use the rim tape now...

 

Has anyone heard or experienced tubeless sealant corroding spoke nipples,in just 3 months?
