I use a VDO Z3 PC Link... if I'd buy now I'd much rather get the Garmin Edge 500... VDO has a 5 year warranty, but after 1 year all the coating is flaking off, and programming it is a schlep en the data review program is inferior... not saying it's a piece of rubbish, I bought it for the power output. Power is good if measuring the average and max in a TT, but it stops working while free wheeling and is no good if you want to train by power, it takes too long befor the actual reading is displayed...

I am using a few of the A-range (entry-level) and the X-range (midrange), and I am very impressed with the bulletproofness and low power use (read looooong battery life, saving that awful faf of keeping things charged or topped up with new batteries!) of of these things. The best thing about the X-range is the second trip meter, forwards and backwards, which is superb for navigation.

The Z-series didn't impress at all, and worst of all, then it broke! Not impressed. It hasn't changed my thoughts about the A or X at all though!
