RacerX Posted January 20, 2011 Share hi all ok i did some searching cant find true answers... ok what i want to know.. got two NON ust tyres... kenda nevegal and a conti speed king both mtb tyres... 26" 2.1 how well will these work if i try make them tubeless i know that side walls thinner etc etc... anybody here try them...Had issues running the Nevegal non-UST tubeless with Stans on the back wheel - 2 tyres, one after the other after a few months delaminated and air got under the outer rubber layer making huge bubbles under the tread. Made a cool popping sound as they occasionally burst while I rode! After a while the tyre was stuffed - would not hold air, so I put a tube in until it finally wore out. Have the same tyre on the front with no problems - I think it's because it does not get driven and thus has much less stress on the tread/casing interface. Kenda voids your warranty if you use Stans, so maybe their tyre compounds get eaten by the ammonia? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
