gear shifting - sram & shimano

so on my mtb the rear der is sramx9 and front is deore shimano, and my shifters are sram...

 

the front not shirtfing so nice... can one use sram and shimano together?? rear der works 100%

 

any thoughts...

As I understand it, you have to match up the rear deraileur with the shifters. So SRAM shifters with SRAM rear deraileur. On the front you can mix and match. So SRAM and SRAM or SRAM and Shimano or Shimano and SRAM.

 

If you're not shifting lekker up front, it could be cause by cable wear or even cable routing.

I have XTR front with SRAM X0 shifters and it's a lovely combination. Must be your setup...
