  2. I read with interest some of the comments made about the price of Xterra. Allow me to state some event facts on behalf of Xterra in SA: - although Nissan was replaced by a new sponsor in 2010, the entry fee has remained the same since the start of the 2008/2009 season. - the entry fee for Xterra Grabouw is R130 and not R230 and the entry fee will only switch to the late entry fee if you enter after the closing date of 15th feb, which is a mere 5 days before the Grabouw event - we want Xterra to be a fun unique family value for money experience - so if you go to Buffelspoort or Grabouw, you will receive an event tee, New Balance race belt, medal, Duesouth socks, Rehidrat sachets, armband, waterbottle and swimcap. In addition you can relax in the Rehidrat recovery zone, with free massages, recovery drinks, ice baths and snacks, fruit and sugar drinks - in addition if you arrive early you can enjoy a free Bokomo breakfast in the Bokomo breakfast zone - this is all on top of the event organization which we believe stands above all other off-road events in terms of organization - we also believe that the value that you get at Xterra compares very well to what is offered at similiar events in similiar disciplines - Ironman, Mtb races and other "smaller" triathlon events. Especially with Ironman ect, our entry fee is a fraction of those events We strive to improve every year and obviously there is always room for improvement. But we believe that Xterra is consistently offering a better value for money experience year after year. The numbers show it with the field in Buffels looking like it will double from 2009. Hope this gives you some background, and hope to see you all in Buffelspoort or Grabouw.
