The 45km on Saturday was a nice ride, not as hectic as I expected. The strong wind was a bit of a factor, but hey, in mountain biking you must always be willing to brave the elements!

Hey, anybody up for tomorrow's Tour de Vino MTB Franschoek?! I understand that they're expecting stormy wheather!

I did the the 50km in the Buffet MTB Classic yesterday, what an awesome ride! Great route, challenging climes, but rewarded with nice singletrack and downhill! The heat wasn't too bad and I didn't mind the laps, at least then you know what to expect the 2nd time around! The only negative, I think, is that registration was too far from the parking area (maybe a tent near the dam in the parking area will work better?). I'll surely be back for this one next year!

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. Today's paper is forecasting 34 degrees for Sunday, so it IS going to be hot one!! Good luck if you're also riding!
