Driving down from Hartbeespoort solo on the 16th and driving back on the 19th. I have also booked a camping spot at Kleinplaas. Anyone want to share travel and/or camping costs? Suppose anyone in JHB/PTA on en route would work.

I did my first 36ONE on a 1x11 32T in the front and 11-42 at the back ... I managed to place about 150th or thereabouts... was tough. This year I am using a 1x11 34T in the front and 11-46 at the back. Should be better. Not gonna change sprockets and cassettes just for this one event. Unless you planning to win? plan you stops, nutrition etc better than worrying too much about bike setup. I underestimated the cold by a huge margin and froze my butt off!

My first 360ne , just got a couple of questions for the people who have done it before. What would you suggest for lighting? Strong headlamp with a few sets of batteries? Charging HR and GPS watches? Anyone used the garmin Fenix charger with a powerbank? how would you secure this to the bike? Ive done loong hours on enduro motorbikes etc and managed to handle the chafe and bum ache ok. Any suggestions for the MTB ? Also what kind of clothing would you wear in the cold parts of the night? Thanks,, looking forward to this! Kaking myself a little as a haven't really done adequate training
