Batch A for me. Hanvt done any training. Last race was Wolseley MTB. Going to be a long frustrating day in the saddle‍♂. Accomodation will be in the horse stalls.
2. We did the downride last year 115km. This year should be the uphill. Route is perferct for gravel bike. No technical or tracks only district road.
3. The best 60km ive ridden. Well marked and organised. See you in. 2019
4. Thank you. See you Saturday.
5. I live about 15km away so this will go permanently on my calender.
6. Hope you dont mind me downloading your gpx file?
7. Hi Tankman. Thank you for your honest feedback. I'm with you on the short video. What i wanted to do is give people the opportunity to see the full route and see the climbs as well. I found out myself the video is too long and i nothing really grab your attention. So i just put it out so i can also get some comments where i need to improve and what i needed to change. I will definitely take your comment when doing some edits. Thumbs up.
8. Here is the link. Sorry for the amateur footage.
9.
Well organised event. Just a pity my bike took alot of damage due to the mud and water. The climbs were actually not climbs and i was expecting more. Defnitely be back 2019. Busy editing the video i took and will put on link during the day tomorrow. I was the guy with the gopro on the head and the Silverback Hardtail if anyone spotted me. Cheers

10. Just spoke to one of the organizers and they confirmed starting times for the 60km is 08h30.
11. Wondering if i should put on my John Deere gumboots .
12. You wanna head out on the trails and give us an update ?
13. Had a 32T round front and 1142 rear. Found out i hardly to never touch the 42. Decided to go for the 34T Oval front and 1146 rear just for that extra steep climbs. I also weight 62kg and seems to climb easy on the steep sections.
14. Im in doing the 60km. Need to get as much k's in my legs before next months Around The Pot 100miler.
15. After Cederberg 100mile I am looking forward to this one.

Doing long races like Cederberg 100miler and Tiptrans Cederberg i train alot of district roads. 50-60km with 1200-2000m of climbing once a week and twice a week 40km short steep intervals with 1200m climbing. Once a week 30-50km fast single tracks. 0nce a week 21km trail running and 2 times a week 10km trail running.
21. Absolutely breathtaking. From the registration the Saturday to the Hotel accomodation. Rode the tiptrans last year and i knew i was in for a great challenge. The goal was to have no mechanical issues and to make the cut off. Partnered with a good friend and we were flying up the hills. Guys made some comments about us 2 being the "maer gatte" that could climb easily, hehe. We had a lekke laugh and jol in the race with the guys. 9hrs later on my hardtail and we crossed the finished line. Happy and full of smiles when i held my medal. I will definitely be back next year and every. Amazing scenery makes every pedal stroke worth it. Must also comment on the aid station, full feeding zones was more then enough. Every cent worth!! See you 2019.
