We will be starting the ride by climbing up through Mowbray and into the University – from here, the route you take up, and down, is entirely up to you. Our recommendation, find the riders you’re on par with and stick with them. Pace: The Devil’s Peak Blockhouse Beer Ride is exactly that, a Beer Ride. We’re not looking to break Strava records but do understand that everyone has their own comfortable pace of riding. So, make sure you’ve got a mate and do it at your own pace – all the fun stuff happens back at The Gear Change at 20h00 which should give you more than enough time to get to the Blockhouse and back again. Event Name: Devil's Peak Blockhouse Beer Ride When: 25 January 2018 Where: The Gear Change, Western Cape Category: MTB After a tremendous first event in November the Devil's Peak Blockhouse Beer Ride is back. Starting from the Gear Change in Mowbray riders will head up through the university, past Rhodes Memorial and up to the Blockhouse. After a quick visit they will head back down to the Gear Change where hot Bang Bang Burritos will await. To wash it all down there will obviously be ample stock of Devil's Peak beers. Tickets are R125 and cover all your food and drink for the evening as well as including automatic entry into giveaways on the evening. Prizes will include beers from Devil's Peak, voucher from The Gear Change and prizes from Trek. Go to Event Page

Event Name: Devil's Peak Blockhouse Beer Ride When: 23 November 2017 Where: The Gear Change, Western Cape Category: MTB Inaugural Devil's Peak Blockhouse Beer Ride hosted by Barley and Hops and The Gear Change. After meeting at The Gear Change in Mowbray riders will set off up to the Blockhouse above Rhodes Memorial to enjoy the view on what will hopefully be a windless evening. They will then cruise straight back down to The Gear Change where cold beer and a food truck will wait. Riders will then be able to hang out and enjoy the evening while the guys from the Gear Change may give a workshop on maintaining your bike. Tickets are limited to just 25 spots and include all your beer and food for the evening. Go to Event Page
