Have tried out the sufferfest and rouvy although i keep comparing them to Zwift as it is ultimately my favourite.
I like it for the ability to do both fun rides with friends, and be able to train or race.
The softwares such as rouvy or tacx don't have realistic enough graphics to make that a viable option unless you are happy to watch something else while knowing that you are emulating an outdoor route.
If you are struggling to meet your budget, the hub often has great bikes at a great price!

I had a similar experience on Facebook marketplace, where the "cousin" did back off because he realised that I was not an easy target and may have had other 'deals' to get to. Also a white Hyundai sedan.
The guy on the phone did try calling me multiple times in following days, at first agitated and upset because the money had 'left his account'.
