There is a well spoken guy by the name of "Rob Bell", if this is his real name, robbell954@gmail.com and contact number 0628065043 who is going around looking for high end bicycles and ebikes and will discuss specs, details and will say that he has been getting quotes elsewhere. He will then subsequently get in touch and request a pro-forma invoice and then send proof of payment. He will then give a long story about how the bike is being gifted to a professional rider who is going through cancer recovery and wants to get back into riding. The "professional rider" that he mentioned is the 702 radio presenter Xolani Gwala who has subsequently passed away in November. This is a sick bastard using people's details who have passed away for personal gain. Keep a close eye on the payments this festive season guys. Have a good one Gremeltech Ebikes Team.

Hi All, Coming back to this thread. Just to let you know that Gremeltech Ebikes now have stock of tour/commuter bikes, full suspension and hard tail Centurion Ebikes in stock. Hi BufferSA, Thank you for this enquiry and this is a very valid point. Not everyone has money to write off on a bike that you will not have the full use of features on over that period of time. However i have been advised by Bosch themselves (International) that as part of their guarantee they will in fact carry the replacement spares for a MINIMUM of 8 years AFTER end of production. So this should set you mind at ease.

Hi copperhead, was out of office when this came through. Glad you mentioned that. Bosch Ebikes run a fixed 15 tooth in the front and at the back wheel there is an 11 gear cluster typically ranging from 11 to 42 teeth. Your standard MTB has a rear cluster 11-36 and front two chain wheels typically 26 and 36 tooth. So on an ebike there is a much lower gear ratio when climbing of 15:42 compared to a standard 26:36. However in top gear (at top speed) the Ebike is 15:11 where as a normal bike would be 36:11 thus faster on the flat. European legislation insists that the electric pedal assistance is only up to 25km/hr and thereafter you are on your own(theoretically speaking). After physically testing the bikes though you can actually, comfortably pedal at 35km/h and reach speeds in excess of 60km/h on a downhill. Hope that this answers your questions.
