  1. The canary yellow bottles you refer to are actually white. And Ian McLeod was riding in his African Continental kit at SA's for the first time, which incidentally is also white, making it super hard for the team support to see him - the yellow jerseys may stand out but white certainly doesn't. In addition, in a feedzone with no accreditation for access, allowing everyone and their 6 cousins in there, how do you expect there to not be chaos. It's not like every pro team has their own space to work in these areas. Objectivity may not go astray - look at the hard facts, which will be made public at some stage, and ask yourself, if you were in this position, how would you feel? This is a guy who has ridden at pro tour level in Europe, has proved himself both here and abroad and has never tested positive for anything before. The other pro riders who hare making harsh statements - thsi could have been any one of you.
  2. Most of the speculation about Brad's condition has been untrue. Here is the official statement from MTN Cycling: 05 February 2010 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MTN Energade cyclist recovering in hospital MTN Energade Cycling team rider, Bradley Potgieter, was involved in an accident this morning. Potgieter has been admitted to a private clinic in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. He has been sedated and is recovering in ICU having been diagnosed with nothing more serious than two minor bone fractures and some bruising to his head as a result of the impact. ?Bradley is currently in a stable condition at the ICU. He has sustained uncomplicated ?crack? fractures to his right distal radius (forearm) and left medial maleolus (ankle). He has minor facial lacerations and areas of diffuse minor intra-axial (brain) bleeding, which do not require neurosurgical intervention. He is conscious, communicating and his doctors are satisfied with his current condition,? says Dr Carol Austin, trainer of the MTN Energade cycling team. Neurosurgeons at the private clinic are not concerned about Potgieter?s condition and are confident that he is in no danger from his injuries. They will, however, continue to monitor his progress. ?Bradley simply needs some time to recover from this early morning scare and will be back to full fitness in the not too distant future,? says Ian Wilson, MTN Energade Cycling road team manager. 3. The Pactimo kit is of an exceptional quality and the cost is comparable with what is being produced locally but with a far superior quality. With respect to the local manufacturers, the R&D funds spent by a Pactimo are evident in the quality of the cycling kit they are producing. The good news is that there is now a Pactimo agent in SA and this brand of kit will be available shortly. Look out for the new distinct Team MTN road team and MTB team kits being launched this month as well.
