Guys - I bought a pair of Shimano SH - R160 Custom Fit road shoes over the weekend and want to know where I can go to have them custom fitted as the bike shop I bought them from don't have the facilities. I watched the video on youtube and it seems quite involved.

So the time has come to retire my trusty old Nike Road Cycling shoes after 7 years of good use... The question now is, what do I get now... I'm a fairly casusal rider, ride about 150km's a week, so need to find something that suits my riding habits and my pocket. I have a budget of R1000.00 +/-. Any suggestions.

Is the route which runs next to the runway safe (bikejacking) to train on, on a normal weekend?

Incentive to train harder... Also been left in the dust...

A few months ago we were bike jacked just behind the Highveld onestop on the R21 near Bapsfontein. We were doing our normal morning route, we rode past a wooded area and were jumped by about 5 guys with serious knives. They took, bikes, gear, bags, cell phones etc... We contacted the SAPS from the Onestop and are still waiting for them. While at the One stop, we were informed that we were about the 7th group to be nailed. If you want to ride in that area make sure you go out in a massive group. The guys from Finishline in Glen Marias train in the area, so get hold of them.
