  8. Route maps and profiles will be up in about 2 weeks....all I can say for now is that its going to be bigger and better then last year. Route is similar but with more fun sections.
  9. Hey Guys & Girls, Rider photos are up on http://photomarx.co.za/products/mtb_races/clarens. You can order your photos online, go have a look and support PhotoMarx.
  10. Epic Sports will be manning a neutral tech zone at 45km for Ultra Marathon riders only. You can send a bottle or spares to this point for a charge of R10. Report to the Epic Sports gazebo 30mins before the start.
  11. Ultra Marathon Half Marathon 20km Fun Race
  12. Yes, Photomarx took the photos. They should be loaded by the end of the day....keep an eye on http://photomarx.co.za/page/home
  13. Was part of the Ultra Marathon
  14. Ok, you need to get the original entrants details (name, ID, and race number) and take it to registration tomorrow or Wednesday. The ladies at registration will assist you with the transfer. Note: There will not be any transfers at registration on the day at Mabalingwe.
  15. Around 2000m climbing in the Ultra
  16. There is a long drag at about 6km to split the field a bit, but the main climb around the Lion Park comes at about half way (20km). The rest is flat and fun. Enjoy
  17. Best would be to keep asking around on the Hub. If you find someone who is selling there entry then let me know and I will explain the substitution process. The Mabalingwe Marathon is fairly similar to Clarens with regards to difficulty. There is more climbing but it is less technical.
  18. Glad you enjoyed it! What did you think of the little "sting" after the USN water point yesterday? haha
  19. Updated Clarens route maps and profiles: Ultra Marathon Marathon Half-Marathon 20km
  20. Not a problem! You can do it at registration. Please see event page *(http://advendurance.com/nationalmtbseries/mabalingwe)for registration dates and times.
  21. Cold day in the Golden Gates Nature Reserve Putting the Navara through its paces on the MTN Ultra route
  22. Autumn adding a dash of color to the town of Clarens.
  23. Entries are now completely full, so if you are still looking for an entry I recommend that you keep an eye on the Hub. If you would like to transfer your entry to somebody else, you can do so at registration at the event.
  24. Hey guys, I have been in Mabalingwe for the past 2 days checking the routes and getting the clearing crew started. The routes this year are very different from past years, but I believe that you will all agree that they are much more enjoyable. Here are a few tips: Go tubeless or go home! Lots of thorns!!! There are a few sandy patches but they are few and far between, so try to keep your momentum and power through them. Ultra and Marathon are relatively tough, so ensure that you stop and hydrate at all water points. There are a few loose rocky sections (Ultra & Marathon) so if you need to push, please keep left. Beware of animals crossing the track. Have FUN!!!
