  6. Hey, If you are coming from PTA, get onto the N4 toward Harties. After the 2nd toll-gate you will take the off-ramp to a t-junction. Turn left at the t-junction. Drive a few hundred meters turn left at the next t-junction onto the R104. Continue on the R104 in an Easterly direction (back towards PTA). You will get to a 4-way stop - go straight over. Continue another +-3km until you see a sign saying "The Orient" on you left. Turn left and go back under the N4 At the 4-way stop turn right and continue +-1km (Parallel to N4 on your right)
  7. The different distances share that same few kilometres at the start, but once they split they all remain separate (except for a short merge before WP3 - on open road) until the end. All the distances finish on separate single tracks so there will be minimal congestion at the end.
  8. Marathon *Note Tech Zone is at WP3 and not WP2 Half Marathon 20km Fun Race

  12. Nope, its not as technical and doesn't have those really gnarly rocky descents...but don't underestimate it, there are still some challenging sections and some proper climbing.

  15. Hey guys, I have good news for Hakahana...no more (almost) un-rideable concrete climb in the Orient...More awesome flowing hand-built single track and separate routes for all distance which means less congestion!

  21. Some floating bridge action from TrailSeeker #3 Van Gaalens...Just to cool off everybodies Monday morning aggression. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151587293662111&comment_id=26986346&offset=0&total_comments=13&notif_t=mentions_comment
  22. The wall end is the exit of the bridge - you will be able to ride onto the bridge with sufficient speed to keep a good momentum. I do not know how many riders the bridge can take at one time, but being situated about 35km into the race, the riders should be well spread out by this point. There will be a marshal to control the flow of riders if we see that it is being weighed under. There is also a chicken run/portage section as a plan B or for riders that do not feel confident enough to try the bridge.
  23. Route profiles Fun Race - 17km | 202m Half Marathon - 36km | 457m Marathon - 68km | 1190m *NOTE: Please ensure that you hydrate at the last WP (48km) as it is a long haul to the finish.
