This is the report as it (still) stands on the 702 website: A cyclist has been killed in an accident in Alberton on Johannesburg?s East Rand. The 37-year-old man was flung from his bike after being knocked over by a motorist. He died on the scene. Ekurhuleni Metro Police's Jimmy Maboko says a case of culpable homicide has been opened. Either way, definitely a case of bad reporting. If it was a cyclist, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough who it was.
