Just remember that a puffy might strike fast, but only when it actually strikes. A puffy don`t usually strike immediately, so the 1st rider will piss off the puffy and be gone and then the puffy will be ready to take revenge on the following rider.

You will also be surprised just how painful a puffy bite is.

I have ridden over these before with no problem, but the water cleans the lube off and gets into the rear hub, or someone might fall in front of you and then my my gadgets are stuffed. I will ride if its at the end and nobody in front of me, else I will run like a chicken.

There are many puffies and cobras out there. It is a good idea to have a plan of action when a bite occurs: - you should know where to get anti-venom, save the phone number - stay still if possible and send your riding buddies to get help, if you are alone you might have to move slowly or phone for help and stay still - if you dont know what species bit you then take a photo of the snake so that they know what type of anti-venom is required

There is only one way to find out, but my gut feel is that it will not be bad form and will be appreciated by all but the ebike rider.

If CWC was not a great store there would be no negativity. Well done making CWC great. Business is business and I think everybody understands this. It just seems like its an end of an era where the customer was king.

New Spez tires got some bad publicity because they seem to have less volume, are heavier, and only 60 TPI. The only improvement of the new Spez tyres is the Gripton compound. And the new Scwalbe tyres are much more expensive but not much better/lighter than the previous models. These days it seems that the tyre versions the pros use are not available to the public - maybe not all brands.

7am Start is brutally early if travel time from Cape Town is taken into account. I will try to make it but I think I will not be able to get up that early
