  1. Thank you all for your input. Unfortunately my very old car packed up two days ago and the father, understandably, is not keen to pay for a a new car as well as a new bike. I appreciate all the help!
  2. I am upgrading from a Silverback Nabraska hardtail. Amazing bike for its class of a bit above entry level. (It's also on sale if interested) I was hoping you guys could help me to decide whether to get yet another hardtail or to go full suspension. Bear in mind I do most of my riding in Tokai Forest and I am looking to be doing some races in the Western Cape area as well as the Wines2Whales. I have thoroughly enjoyed my hardtail and I enjoy the speed it gives me uphill and on the flats. I am still young (18) and can take the beating of a hardtail happily. Also, what bikes should I go for? My budget, with a push, falls just short of about R30k. Due to me wanting this bike to last for roughly 10 years I do not think it can be carbon. I want a 29er. I have a few preferences: Fox Fork with Kashima Sram XO rear der. Nothing lower than a Sram X7 front der. Sram cassette Elixir CR/7's or Formula - the One brakes Carbon handlebar KCNC stem Richey headset American Classic or ZTR wheel set Clean Sweep rotors (180mm front & 160mm rear) Thomson Elite seat post DT Swiss quick release Braded brake cables Hollow pin Sram chain It must be able to take 2 bottle cages I understand I won't find a bike with these things exactly but I'm looking for something that is as close as possible. Thanks guys. I appreciate any help!
