  3. How accurate/realistic would the reading be that one would get if one attached a cateye thing to the back wheel of your bicycle to measure your speed/distance????? Would one have to do some kind of calibration of some sorts to eliminate the discrepencies, if any, from riding on the road with the cateye at the back wheel and riding on the IDT with the cateye on the back wheel. Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
  4. I ride road and I just started out the group I ride in with my LBS rides about 60km at round about 27kph so basically still a beginner but thats under three hours and I'm looking to get at least 4 hours riding in every saturday but ja I'm starting to think I should have gone into mtb'ing
  5. How much of a difference in speed does the type of rims and tires and the whole wheel make when going down hill or does the tire pressure also play a role in that??? I have a raleigh rc3000 with those standard wheels and everytime we go downhill I get left behind no matter what.
  6. Which roads are reasonably safe to ride here in/around/outside Pretoria because I dont really know the routes my LBS rides on their weekend rides and after looking foreward to riding this weekend only for that idea to be washed away by this rainy weather when I arrived at the LBS and there was not a soul to be seen. I really need to know where to ride coz a little bit of bad weather isn't going to stop me next time from just enjoying the ride but anyway ja any help will be much appreciated.
  7. Can some please explain to me what is meant by "Maximum Front Difference: 22T" and "Total Capacity: 37T" and lastly "SS/GS" when the specs of a rear derailleur are given.
