You will ride from Maropeng, into the Magalies region passing close by to Mount Grace Hotel & Spa, and then encounter areas that are little known to the average cyclist. Areas that are largely unexplored and that you probably have never heard of, such as Maanhaarrand, Vlakfontein, Koesterfontein, and a few more will be explored. Can you do it in 10 hours or less? This has posed some serious issues with our routes. As a result, and after consultation with land owners and various officials, we have take the decision to postpone the 16th staging of the Magalies MTB & Trail Running Adventure, taking place at the Black Horse Brewery just outside of Magaliesburg, to Saturday the 25th of November. Event Name: Magalies Rocks the CradleWhen: 26/08/2023Where: Die Krip Landboufees, Maanhaarrand, North WestCategory: GravelBack for a second time, The Magalies Rocks the Cradle MTB & Trail Meander (MRtC) promises to be a day of fun. This event is for you if you like to ride, run or walk. Something chilled and on your doorstep, and right at the base of the Magalies Mountains. Beautiful views, breathtaking scenery and great hospitality from the local farmers. The riding will be almost exclusively gravel with a bit of tar thrown in, so bring your gravel bike, or even your Mountain Bike. But get there. The Dirt Trail will be made up of private farm roads, jeep track and some district roads. Nothing technical, just a chance to get out into the countryside. And this year, MRtC will be part of the 2023 Landboufees.  Come and visit the stalls after your ride or run and enjoy some delicious food, craft beer, and buy some choice produce from the various stalls. Try “The Grind”. 150km of gravel starting from Maropeng, in the Cradle of Humankind, on an out-and-back route. Something new from The Leverage Corporation. We have seen many offerings for this kind of race, but this will be done in True Leverage Corporation Style. Nice and slick, nice and classy, and an event to remember for all the right reasons. (Special Note - this event is suited to MTB and gravel) You will ride from Maropeng, into the Magalies region and then encounter areas that are little known to the average cyclist. Areas that are largely unexplored and that you probably have never heard of, such as Maanhaarrand, Vlakfontein, Koesterfontein, and a few more will be explored. Can you do it in 12 hours or less? Well, that’s up to you. We have tried to keep it reasonably flat, but there’s still just over 1700m of climbing. On the route, we will have 5 checkpoints, and these will double as change-over points, well-stocked water tables, and rest stations. The good news is that you can choose to do it as a solo rider, or you can get a team of two, or a team of four together and share the 150km load. Event Name: Magalies MTB & Trail Running Adventure When: 29 September 2018 - 30 September 2018 Where: Mount Grace Country House & Spa, Magaliesburg, Gauteng Category: MTB The 2018 Magalies MTB & Trail Running Adventure Welcome to the 2018 edition of The Magalies MTB & Trail Running Adventure. Started in 2008, The Magalies Adventure has a wonderful pedigree. It’s the oldest race in The Leverage Corporation stable, and it’s back with a vengeance in 2018. This year, The Magalies Adventure is scheduled to take place on the 29th and 30th of September 2018. And this year the Magalies Adventure will offer participants a choice of both Mountain Biking and Trail Running. The Magalies Adventure is known as being tough, offering some great riding and running, something you should be used to from The Leverage Corporation.

 We are pleased to host this event at Mount Grace – The African Pride Mount Grace Country House and Spa – situated in the heart of the Magaliesburg region. We will be based at The Cog & Sprocket, the Mount Grace Cycling Hub.
