  1. So, then, explain to me, why is a gravel bike not allowed in a mtb national event? Or, why is a mtb not allowed in a CX event? [of course not apposite to SA]
  2. That is how mountain biking [and road cycling] started ...
  3. It can never be a true gravel championships if mountain bikes are allowed in the race. Mountain biking has its own xc and marathon championships; surely, a gravel championships, exclusive to gravel bikes is what CSA should investigate? The same goes for mountain bikes in sanctioned road races: not allowed.
  4. Pity it is so short ... Not worth to drive all the way to Wellington for a ride that will last no longer than 1:30.
  5. Trans Karoo is back on, organized by PPA.
  6. Nice, eh?
  7. It is the Sarto RR02, custom-built, BB91 and tapered fork.
  8. Thanks!
  9. Weight: 5.7kg, with Polar CS600X + sensors Price: Too scared to calculate
  10. and mine ...
  11. That "straight down" downhill is called "The Mineshaft" - rode down there in a WC race in 2004 ...
  12. Try out Rockets/Medac. You can buy ready-made or you can have a pair custom-made for you. I have been riding with them for close to a year now and rate them extremely high.
