  1. Thinking about this some more, what you suggest might be possible. I'll bring it up at the bike shop. Thanks
  2. I thought of that but it is not designed to do that as the mounting points on the rack are hollow on the outside so the bolt wouldn't have anything to grip onto. Also the rack comes with bolts to mount it.
  3. Hi A week or two ago I posted about getting a pannier rack on here. Well I have the pannier rack but it is not fitting because the eyelet on the frame and the quick release bolts on both sides seem to be too close to each other (https://puu.sh/CcmY8/a3410b13a0.png) This is the mounting point on the rack: https://puu.sh/Ccn2A/38f931901f.png another angle: https://puu.sh/Ccn3a/ea9fafdcc7.png So basically it sits here: https://puu.sh/Ccn5D/cc155b93f4.png and as you can see the bolt is in the way of the one corner. The other side of the wheel is the same story. Does one get QR bolts/levers that are slightly smaller? I really don't want to angle grind that corner off the rack mount. Any ideas would be great.
  4. They only had some cheap racks that wouldn't fit my bike but the shop is very cool. Luckily I had a meeting back at work otherwise I would probably still be there. I ordered the Explorer off Bike Addict. Now I just need to wait for it. Thanks for the help everyone!
  5. I see Woodstock Cycle Works is just up the road from my work. I'm going to pop in today to have a look, otherwise Bike Addict has confirmed stock so I'll have to fork out for a new one. Thanks!
  6. Oh wow that's a good find and it will fit over my discs. Is this site legit?
  7. Hi I commute to work a couple of days a week in Cape Town and I have always struggled with carrying my laptop, charger, clothes etc in a backpack. I hurt an intercostal muscle between my ribs the other day so I'm trying to look for alternatives to carrying everything on my back. I recently came back from Amsterdam and used the cargo rack on the back of the bike to carry my backpack around and it worked great. Unfortunately it is proving difficult to find a simple affordable rear rack in SA. I don't really need panniers, just something to strap my bag to, like this: https://za.ciclimattio.com/s/bontrager/backrack-l-disc-2018/?id=1989&m=3154 The only place I have found is cycle touring but these are fairly high end pannier racks which would work but are quite expensive. Does anyone know where I can find something like this locally, preferably in Cape Town? Thanks
