  1. is this better than the momsen for around the same price?
  2. i saw that momsen on bike addict they had the 2018 and 2019 for same price for air fork etc it seems to be the best price option the silverback and Titan i saw were closer to 10k
  3. are any more brands still left to launch?
  4. when do brands generally launch their new ranges and models?? i know i just missed the spez clearance
  5. i think you are referring to the bike booster with vitality which is 25% cashback. over many many months and only through cycle lab i saw on sportsman's warehouse site the vitality logo against many bikes so im assuming you can apply the improved percentage that Discovery have increased to due to lockdown where i was getting 20% back on purchases its now 40% am i wrong?
  6. ok so i found a silverback stride se at sportsmans warehouse for 9k and i have vitality cashback of 40% does this make this a good option if it comes in at 5,400?
  7. thanks now the struggle to find one tygervalley out of stock in small and medium
  8. any advice on listed units ? hoping to place order soon
  9. i do like the idea of warranty my daughter rides a tital calypso which i bought from CWC im in cape town and close to Olympic, Crown and work close to CWC and the specialized shop i was told silverback for price have good specs versus others in same price im gearing towards lower end as i know i also need helmet pedals 2 bike carrier any other ad hoc on. my comprehensive list, apologies silverback stride md giant rincon spec pitch sport spec pitch comp spec pitch expert silverback stride sport giant talon 2019 these were all within 6k anything within another r1000 that would be much better?
  10. im guess a 29er im only 1,65 tall so not too tall
  11. that was one of the ones i was looking at in my price bracket is the ruse worth the 2k difference?
  12. thanks yaseenEnos not really going to be taking it up. sports wise im thinking gym keeps me busy and in the next month money needs to be spent on renovating kids study and pc so unfortunately time and budget dictate. And Darko i agree about the naming conventions... all brands are confusing me right now i do like the look of the specialized range and even at the gym im riding pair of specialized shoes on the watt bike is the spec ruse better than the rockhopper? as for titan im assuming that its local brand compared to the others I've looked at
  13. is the price for the specialized ruse for 10k a good bargain then as it says its reduced from 32k? and i hear what you say about second hand v new thats what worries me is that i get good bargain and then like you state end up. with spending more to "fix" up possibly in this economic climate funds are always going. to drive purchase and i do like the idea of new with guarantee etc
  14. thank you for the advice it will be for day to day use just riding to keep active and with the kids not really on trails etc as for second hand i haven't seen much on here for my size im just finding it strange with so many new models in my price bracket none of them are recommend
  15. good evening all with this economy the way it is i really need advice on a budget MTB hardtail nothing too fancy but between 5000-8000 preferably lower end of the budget completely not familiar with tech bike speak unfortunately and googling bike shops and prices has left me with numerous bike options from scott momsen specialized gt silverback giant trek all between 5000-8000 i know second hand is option but not knowing what im looking for technically im going to opt for new one. thought i would get some impartial advice here im a small/ medium ride i saw some good deals on the specialized site and liked the look of those as well as the varied offering from both silverback and Scott are any of the other brands playing in this price bracket worth checking?
