  1. It's on RAI ch 430 now. In Italian though
  2. Jules didn't win at delta or mintek too often. Was usually John Michael or, Stuart and later Ryan started winning. I was involved in the organisation. We also did children's rides once a month at Mintek until an attempted hijacking at the club....
  3. Thanks for the pic
  4. I think you need to go on diet or stop gym sessions using a wrench!! Onky kidding, best you get it checked out by the pros. looks like damage to me though.

Anyone know if Dwaarsdeur Vlaanderen is on TV today? Bit like a Flanders curtain raiser it seems
  11. oh and 2nd placed team finished with 6 riders made up of 2 MTN feeder, 3 Abantu and 1 EuropcaSA.
  12. interestingly I got it 1.4 seconds the other way i.e mtn were second ....and I was not the only one who had it that way. But it was close so I could easy have erred somewhere.
  13. This is all very exciting and as this is a 3 race series i am assuming there will be a series winner in the various categories. Where can one see the current series standings as well as previous results?
  14. ok will be riding saturday and will pop through the parking area at 7:30 - drop me an sms if you will/will not make it - 083 452 0091
  15. Hi, I ride from that area (Eagles Landing shops) most saturday mornings - unable to make it afternoons in Winter due to failing light. let me know if you keen as I have a route that varies from 22km to 45km depending on how I feel. There is always a coffee stop on the way home or at halfway depending on route taken.
  16. Hi, I can make some afternoons, but not all, and am keen for either Saturday and/or Sunday mornings as well. I am in Randpark, near Christiaan de Wet, so sounds close.
  17. Congratulations to CSA for having a rethink and including Junior road riders in the squad to participate in the the world road champs at the end of September. Juniors were initially not going to be selected. Lets develop them and give them experience to compete with the best, if we want the best!! Well done to all the selected riders from junior to elite.
  18. Could be that they think they not good enough but how will they get good ? The Juniors that I am aware of that have been competing in Europe have been very competitve in international races. By the way CSA are sending (or at least selected ) 6 juniors to go to track worlds in NZ (or is it Aus) this year. So it is only the Roads world champs we are not sending Juniors to it seems. Hopefully the (CSA) will relook and maybe change their mind.
  19. not sure but I am happy to see that 9 juniors are going to MTB XCO world champs - could be a road commission decision then
  20. Just a "beef" I have to share. CyclingSA have started an initiative to grow the sport from the junior ranks so that we in SA can have more than 2 cyclists in races like TDF and Giro. They also wish to try and get a Road, a mtb xco and BMX World Champion in our lifetime. All in Elite (we have had category WCs and a MTB Downhill WC) I agree with the initiative but question why they do not seem to want our junior cyclists to take part in the forthcoming road world champs to at least gain experience at this level. To miss the world champs mean that we will possibly lose automatic qualification for the next one and it may take years to get an entry into the Junior World champs again. It can't be the expense because they (Cycling SA) don't pay anyway. It is generally left to any selected cyclist/s to raise the necessary funds to attend themselves. I ask why one step forward then take two backwards. After the olympic team selection debate one would have thought they had learnt.
