  3. Really don't think they it has been thought through properly. Traffic is going to be a cluster F...K of note considering that the 2 main access roads are part of the route. Sunninghill through roads are a mess at the best of times so can't even imagine what it will be like. Only other access is from Waterfall city side which is not the best either considering the routes crosses over the intersection
  4. Exceptionally lucky. Being in the mid 50's one does not realize how easily you can bruise. Doc says it can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to fully heel.
  5. I guess the big question will be whether they keep the same direction or reverse the route ?
  6. The ER. X-rays of the S1 - S5 and L1 - L5. Luckily nothing broken but just severe bruising. Needless to say, will be off the bike for a while Sorry for the PG pic:

  8. Is'nt there a Downhill Track at Harties?
  9. Sounds like fun. Have entered the 90kay. Good training for the Canola Roller in Sept
  10. This. Turning it into a gravel build
  11. Not a good weekend for cyclists. This incident coupled with an incident at Emmarentia where a mountain biker apparently misjudged a jump and landed badly, breaking his/her neck. 3 fatalities in one weekend. My sincere condolences to their families and friends.
  12. Reach out to @fkitching He ordered me a Toseek straight steerer fork last year
  13. You could maybe try DR Craig Uria. Call: +27 82 559 9998 Email: info@spineandsport.co.za Shop 1A, Illovo Square Shopping Centre 3 Rivonia Road, Illovo Johannesburg, 2196
  14. My old 26er HT frame converted into a gravel grinder. 27.5 inch wheels and a mix of XT and GRX. Does the job perfectly
  15. Was there 2 years ago. Still able to cycle through the resort and the game park as well. Some sections were very rugged, but the scenery made up for that. Would think that this is still the case. Being a game park, obviously need to be on the constant look out for animals crossing your path. Other options are riding down to Pilgrims Rest and back up again. Just make sure you have your climbing legs. Some of the local scenery:
