  1. Good day! With the rainy season upon us, I yet again came home from my morning ride with my bibs looking like I ate a bad jaffle last night. I know Nils sells Ass Savers, but wondering if any Northern Suburbs bike shops sell them. Pic for reference. Note: I'm a roadie, so aesthetics is everything PS. Any similar solutions, DIY included, are very welcome. Thanks in advance!
  2. I'd just like to thank everyone for your responses, advice, and snippets of personal experience. I've decided to give the Spez Roubaix tekkies a go, as my riding happens mostly on the road these days. I will keep my Panaracers for when I know I'm going to do more serious gravel. Thanks again for every response! Cheers Jakes
  3. That's exactly my sentiment. I actually bought Lezyne's air tank pump exactly for the possibility of having to regularly change tyres. I'm no stranger to this. I remove my own tyres quite often to redo rim tape, clean off dried up clumps of sealant and replace sealant.
  4. Just maybe phone too. They usually are able to get pretty quickly. But the lady has told me they are sukkeling a bit with tyre stock in general.
  5. At them moment I'm seriously considering this because of the price. I can always get some chunkier tyres for when I know I'm going to do more serious gravel. I'm single so I spend my evenings in the garage in anyway
  6. I bought Continentals for my dad's MTB from EVO Bikes some time ago. Are you familiar with them? Based in Durbanville but mainly an online store. www.evobikes.co.za – give them a ring, maybe they can get it for you.
  7. Thanks JulienR – these look rather splendid. Can one run them tubeless without having to endure the controversy of running road tyres tubeless?
  8. Good day friends in cycling! I currently ride a Titan Switch Elite Carbon gravel bike, with carbon wheels and 40c Panaracer Gravel King SK+ tyres. I find that I now mostly ride on the road, and quite often want to join group rides. The GKs are great all rounders, but their width and (semi) aggressive thread pattern may be causing an awful lot of rolling resistance. I stand before you to seek advice on what tyres, and what width to get. I'm thinking of the GK slicks, Vittoria Terreno Zero, etc. But could more aggressive road tyres be the answer? I don't know. Send help pls. Thanks in advance for ANY input. Jakes
  9. See my Steelie above and be convinced!
  10. My new steelie! And yes, it's steeling my heart already
