To all you critics always expecting the worst. I am the guy who posted the add that I had information regarding the bike that was stolen. I came across two guys, the one was trying to sell a Look ironman triathlon bike to someone else for R2000. The amount immediately raised some flags as well as the guy trying to sell the bike did not seem like someone who was of the financial state to own such a bike. I took special note as to the frame colors and wheelset. I went to check online to see if it was a stolen bike and came across the ad on gumtree and an expired add on bikehub where the bike is being offered for a swap. I then downloaded the pics because it seemed to me to be exactly this bike and listed it. I contacted the person advertising the bike on bikehub and asked him to contact the person to whom he sold the bike ( if he already sold the bike) and ask them if their bike was stolen because I have information that could lead to the recovery and the arrest of the suspect. He then called me to tell me that he is out of the country and did not know his bike was stolen but his son went to check and realized that it was indeed stolen.

ok then screw this. I am trying to help this guy find his bike but instead of being complimented for helping I am getting scrutinized. So thanks to you " juan pelota" I will no longer assist him. Hope you can assist davidsonmarisia find his bike. I am anyway not getting anything for doing this just thought it is the right thing to do but it's obviously is not.

Yes, davidsonmarisia is the owner and he contacted me today.The bike was not stolen six weeks ago but early morning ,valentines day according to my sources. So I think the incident occurred on valentines because I asked one of the other guys close by and he said that the suspect had the bike since the early morning already.

What is strange about posting something at 02:24? If you have nothing to say then do not say anything. I am trying to help someone find their bike that has been stolen from them. Would you not want someone to do that for you if your bike was stolen.

What is so confusing about this? You are then able to find pictures of the bike online? This is exactly why no one tries to help one another anymore because of critical people. What do you suggest I do? Ignore what I saw and continue like nothing happened???

I was not 100 percent sure at the time that the bike was stolen. The owner contacted me this morning , he did not even know his bike was stolen because he is out of the country. So even if I did contact the police the bike would not have been reported at the time.
