Hi there, I moved my tires from the stock 2.8 to maxxis rekon 2.6 and i still struggle allot, it feels like im stuck in the trail. And whilst people are flying past me i need to peddle my heart out just to move forward. Do you think a 2.4" tire will make a huge different in weight for me?

What about just putting 2.35" tires on the existing wheelset?

Hi there Thanx for the advise, do you feel any weight difference with the 2 wheelsets, just afraid of spending so much cash then there is not much weight to spare at the end of the day.

And what size tires do i need to put n it, as i want to go to 2.25"

Hi Guys/and Gals Id like to pick some professionals brains....i have a Trek Roscoe 7 (Plus size) bike, which I love! I love the plus tyres, but i must admit on longer rides i start feeling the added weight of the heavier wheelset. As I hope some of you know, the wheelset consist out of the following components: Front hub Formula DC511, Boost110 Rear hub Formula DC2241, Boost141 Rims Bontrager Line 40 28-hole Tubeless Ready, 42mm width Now my question is, can I use a normal 29 rim, 28 hole and put the hubs, both front & back on it? The bike can take a 29er. Will it work?

Im gonna do the Vula Vula 70km on Saturday to see how i feel...wish me luck

Good Day Where in Limpopo ( or a shop that deliver nationwide) can you hire road bikes for specific events and training before hand. So in short, a long term rental solution. Im going to do the 94.7 and am currently training with my mtb (slicks on) but find it heavy. I don't want to buy a bike just for this one event so hiring is the best option for me. If anyone can recommend a shop that does rentals i would greatly appreciate it. Id also consider a good but cheap as dirt bike that fits all the requirements for such a race.

And do you put in the same effort, when switching bikes. Or does the roady make it more bearable?

Does a mtb ride harder than a road bike? Whats the difference?

Hi guys, i want to get some inputs..... Im an avid mountain biker, riding on most weekends and the odd race here and there. I entered the 94.7 for a charity event so now i want to know. Do i use my hardtail with slicks or get a cheap road bike for the event. Why will a road bike be better than a hardtail with slicks? Is it because the roady is lighter and more power on hills? Any experience from people who did the 94.7 before?

Hi Guys I have a old mountain bike laying around and bought a CycleOps Fluid 2 indoor trainer. What tires can i put on my existing mtb rim without buying a new rim as well?
