  1. The shorter route, it not very technical and its a new route. the longer one is a little more technical and has some parts of the race course as its route

GPS:S 26 01’ 35” and E 27 50’ 40” How to get there From Beyers Naude: • Turn on to the M5 Beyers Naude (away from Northcliff toward honeydew) • Carry on straight approximately 12km, passing garden world on your right, look out for a left turn onto the R114 Muldersdrift • Pass carnivore on your right • First road right (st Antonios) • First left into Villa street, go under the bridge • Turn right at the circle • Turn left at the first gravel road How to get there from Pretoria:• Travelling from Pretoria – take the R28 towards Krugersdorp • take the Zwartkop/Randburg off ramp • Turn left towards Randburg • Turn right into R114 Muldersdrift • Pass carnivore on your right • First road right (st Antonios) • First left into Villa street, under the bridge • Turn right at the circle • Turn left at the first gravel road How to get there from Krugersdorp/ Hendrik Potgieter • Take R28 (N14) to Pretoria • Continue over the Pinehaven intersection, crossing Hendrik Potgieter • Take the first off ramp after crossing Hendrik Potgieter – Signboard Muldersdrift / Driefontein • Take the first road right (straight after the offramp), go under the bridge • At the 4 way stop go left (R114 drift boulevard), pass drift inn on your right and the drift petrol station on your left. • Turn left into st antonios • first left into villa street, under the bridge • Turn right at the circle • Turn left at the first gravel road

Active MTB Trails Launch-Family Open Day 03/07/’10 Active MTB Trails have been set-up all over the Cradle of Humankind in Muldersdrift to offer cyclists safe, secure riding at a variety of venues. Following the success of the recent race, the first trail will be opened on the 3rd July at Avianto. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday the facility is open for social riding with mobile security to ensure safety. Look out for our second facility opening in September at Lethabo Estate located next door to Blaire Atholl Golf Estate. Join Active Trails now and get the benefit of multiple locations to ride on a weekly basis. Place: Avianto clubhouse (Muldersdrift) Time: Winter: 6:30-12:00; Summer: 6:00-12:00 Course: cyclists are able to mix and match tracks as they wish • 6km loop (fun for the family, not so technical) • 30km loop (Intermediate level and time trial track) • With a 60km loop near the end of September Cost: • Social riding: R30 • Time trial: Extra R10 Time trails • Every Saturday morning • Starts 7:00 • Registration will be between 6:00 and 6:45 • Cut off number is 100 riders per time trial event On offer: - Breakfast and lunch, retail set-up, bike technicians, WHASP Energy Fuel complimentary drinks fountain.
