  1. I'm looking for spacers for a steerer tube with a threaded headset, that's been converted to allow a 'regular' stem to be attached. The converter is 2.54cm diameter, and is longer than the stem-clamp area, so although the spacers aren't needed for tensioning, they're needed to cover the extension. Anyone know where to source spacers with 2.54cm internal diameter? Thanks!
  2. I've purchased an American Classic wheelset, and have not been able to source the adaptor for the QR hub to convert it to a 15mm thru axle to run on my thru axle fork. Does anyone know if its possible to instead covert my thru axle fork to take a QR wheel?
  3. Exactly what @Bolt67 said. Steroids are the gift that keeps on giving. I don't care how many tears a doper shed after they got caught. 'Rehabilitation' is lovely - so you don't do it again. You did it once, and so you are a cheat. and a lier. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm with @TheJ and @bolt67 Thanks @pe3nguin for your lovely passive-agressive response. Worth noting that a) A view may be expressed without substantiation , on any social forum - its a discourse, not the Inquisition. b) The underlying assumption that rehabilitation was a success is YOUR underlying assumption. Please don't be so arrogant as to apply your assumptions to the rest of us. c) Why the hell should anyone explain why they follow news they follow, just becase you disagree with the view they hold? d) Not being concerned with an 'ex-doper's' results means that we ain't gonna be clapping and ululating for this particular winner. Doesn't mean the someone is not interested in/ concerned with the results in general. Please give some consideration to your mindless ranting before you put it out in public and embarrass yourself. .
  4. Without supersport, and with a pathetic internet speed that can't cope with video streaming, does anyone know of a site where i can voice stream the tour commentary? thanks
  5. better how? better why? in what way and how can you tell?? details, gimme details!
  6. Perhaps the issue is really stiffness of the sole, and not size of the pedal? If its an uber stiff sole, it becomes the platform that your foot pushes against, and then its the whole shoe regardless of pedal size. if its flexy, it will flex over a road pedal or a mtn pedal. so rumour has it that road shoes are stiffer cos there is less need for walking in them. but does that apply to even top-of-the-range carbon-soled mtb shoes? surely if the platform size was a problem, all the mtb stage-racers would be yammering for bigger-platformed mtb pedals?
  7. Either shimano SH-R215 road shoes or SH-M225 Mtb shoes...
  8. Hi Hubbers I've currently got one set of shoes (MTB) that i use on my road bike and mtb. I've got the chance to get a brand spanking new pair of shoes ( lucky me), and i'm still tossing up the pros and cons of getting either a new set of MTB shoes (my current ones are fine but 3 years old) or making the big change to real road shoes and pedals for my road bike... (entry level road bike, but gets lots of use. will be DC'ing this year) So, what are folks' ideas on the pros and cons of road shoes and mtb shoes??
  9. Erm.. thanks... Chrish.. (you forget, i know where you live. i dont NEED to catch you on the ST!!) ah well, there you have the mudguard, the bike, and the ass going downhill. ~sigh~ nothing is sacred anymore (Nope, mintsauce, no real offense taken! )
  10. And screaming for you to get out of my way as you hold me up on the singletrack or technical downhill.
  11. STG! is Debbie and that would be Ms Kickass Delicious Downhill Debbie to you.
  12. Now i know why there is a reason i'm not often on the hub... and i guess i'm revealing myself to the REAL cyber-cycling group by responding here, but i can only imagine that its jealousy that leads you to say i'm "sad" . no, im not sad, i'm lucky and have new shoes! i might not have been the first person to come up with waterbottle-mudguard, but its the only one ive seen at races and social rides, and for 10 bucks and a bit of brains ive got a mudguard that doesn't flop onto my rear wheel, break off cos its got shyte topeak fastenings, and didnt cost me over R100 bucks from my local. Beware; you never know who's lurking on your forum!!
