I am wanting to give cycling a try due to to the current restrictions around gyms and other organised exercise sessions.
I would like to get an absolutely basic set up for start , as I have no idea on how to pedal anything with more than one gear or even how to maintain a bicycle . Its easier to learn and make mistakes on cheap stuff .
I live around the corner from Summit cycles in Crowthorne (Midrand) , but I dont think I am their target market right now.
I know I need a helmet and a bike at the very least . From reading a bit on this forum , I am guessing I should look for a mountain bike instead of road bike .
Anything else I should add to that list and anything specific to a bike ?
