Motlomo Street, Pimville Zone 3, Soweto 1809 My name is Retshegofaditswe Namane, and I am the founder of the Believers of Faith Club, a youth empowerment initiative based in Soweto. Our mission is to inspire young people to embrace faith, strive for excellence, live in sobriety, and reconnect with the healing power of community and purpose. Growing up in a community deeply affected by substance abuse, gangsterism, and unemployment, I witnessed how these forces derail the lives of countless teenagers. In response, I created this club to offer a positive, transformative alternative—using cycling as a tool for rehabilitation, empowerment, and socio-economic upliftment. 🚴‍♂️ Our Vision We aim to host weekly social rides that bring together youth from across Soweto. These rides will serve as: - A platform for mental and emotional healing - A gateway to job opportunities and skills development - A safe space for spiritual growth and community building 🎯 Our Immediate Goal To launch our program, we are seeking support to acquire: - 5 road bikes - 5 mountain bikes - 10 helmets Currently, we have no bikes or helmets, but we do have: - A secure location for storage and operations - A blender for preparing healthy shakes and smoothies - Seed capital of R600 The bikes and helmets will be rented out at a minimal fee to cover maintenance and fund small community projects. Growing up from a very toxic environment which destroys lives teenagers and the youth in general through the use of drugs ,gangsterism and other substance abuse which the list is endless I've decided to form this group to change people's live through cycling which will have a huge impact in terms of socio-economic activity and the curb of depression rate of the unemployed youth as we plan to further create job opportunities and have facilities for the youth to apply for available jobs at that time. I am looking to raise At least 5 racing bikes and 5 mountain bikes and 10 helmets which will be hired out at a minimum fee to the targeted teens and youth which will go towards the maintenance of the bike and some towards funding small projects for the organisation and we give all the financial responsibility to you and you can manage it for us. We will host weekly rides with different time frames. The aim is to rehabilitate identified people in the community through social rides which will have a positive impact in thier social life thus change thier mindset which will turn them into better citizens of this country and thier families and loved ones So far we have a location for storage and the main office for the organisation , a blender to makes healthy shakes and smoothies and capital for the business which amounts to R600 but I need just a little more to hit my goal like I have pleaded above. 5 road bikes , 5 mountain bikes and 10 helmets That’s why I’m writing to you! Dear bikehub community My name is tshego and I am community leader in Pimville soweto. I am looking to raise Bicycles to help me with my recent project we have implemented to keep the youths off the streets. The youth is out of hand and it's our responsibility as society to make sure our youth takes the right direction in the early stages of thier lives in order to be better citizens of the country and be children who thier parents are proud of I’m writing to you to ask you to support me and my SOWETO BOYS AND GIRLS SOCIAL CLUB (npo).
