  1. Hi all, wanted to just share a heads up for cyclists on the spruit near alberts farm. A colleague was held up at gunpoint this morning. Garmin watch was taken, fortunately nothing else. I believe it was between 6 and 7, this is the location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/26%C2%B008'51.7%22S+28%C2%B000'00.5%22E/@-26.1476944,27.9995917,19z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d-26.1476888!4d28.000147 was assisted by other cyclists shortly after the incident.
  2. I have passed on the info, am waiting for it to be slowly assimilated.
  3. Hi. wondering what the status of CBD oil (THC free) is with bodies such as tsa, csa, uci, etc - would someone using it stand a risk of being disqualified for use in sanctioned events? asking for a friend.
  4. Anyone know where / how I can reach Werner or John from bicycle boffs? I know shop closed, please pm me contact details Thanks
  5. I think 7.5 with the powertap and no bottles / bags.
  6. Damn, posting this here feels a little out of place with all the MTBs....
  7. 1. Google "Site:strava.com 70.3 east london" and find someone's ride / run. 2. Click the Settings button and "Create Route". 3. You have a strava route that you can download GPX for. takes 2 minutes to create a GPX from any activity. Here - Ride: https://www.strava.com/routes/11664571 Run: https://www.strava.com/routes/11664579 (GPX is for double lap of 10.5km route).
  8. 6 months later, with the cut out middle section, not 1 missed heart beat. works like a bomb (the insulation tape didn't cut it).
  9. Hiya hubbers, What would a carbon rim set me back? 40mm clincher, rim only. Chinese no name fine. Recommendations for who to get in touch with in jhb north?
  10. very bleak when i heard about it. I see there is a road event on the 3rd. The swim is *dam* nice there, but the road ride / run is not gonna be the same. No rock clambering. No rolling through orchards.... Would love to see this event come back or a similar style brought in by a different organizer!
  11. Legen.....dary.... The issue was around conductivity through moisture. An alternative less destructive solution: Insulate it. Not sure how long it will last though, will see how durable this solution is and have the polar for a backup until I make it to Navworld. Thanks for all the replies.
  12. awesome solution, didn't even think of this. I have a polar strap lying around (the watch broke and the strap is lying around unused). thanks! Will try the Navworld route too, i popped them a q on the chat on their site and am waiting for a response.
