Don't forget Killarney starts tomorrow! Registration from about 5 and racing to start at 6. The weather doesn't look promising at this stage, but if you don't get an sms from us by 4pm tomorrow to the contrary RACING IS ON!

Racing starts at 6 but Im there from 5ish (depending on traffic)

Generally two groups: scratch (for the faster/Elite riders) and plus 1 (for the slightly slower/much slower riders). If there are loooots of riders we also have a plus2 group. Start wherever you feel comfortable and either just tootle along for safe training, or work at it and work your way up. It is entirely up to you. Beware though - if you start in plus 1 or 2 and get points you will soon be pushed into the scratch group

Hi all. We will be starting Killarney on wednesday 18th September. Entry fee is R30. You will ride for 1 hour plus a lap - obviously until such time as it stays light long enough we will race until we can't see you!!! If there is any team/company/body out there that would like to sponsor the ambulance you can pm me on this forum or email me at midge@scooterangels.co.za. The cost per night is R350. Points will be given to the top 10 riders per race and the points will be accumulated until the end of February. Top 10 will definitely be given prize money, but obviously if we get sponsorship we aim to pay out more. Looking forward to seeing all of you. Killarney starts again next Wed the 16th January. Registration from 5ish and racing starts at 6. Entry is still R25 for the rest of this season, but unfortunately we are going to have to put the price up from September to R30. We really do try to keep the entry the same for as long as possible, but with the track etc. increasing we have to keep pace in order to give reasonable prize money. This season ends on the 27th February and we will start the new season in September. Remember: if you do not get an sms by 4pm there will be racing.
