  1. Hey guys! During December I am cycling to Lesotho from Cape Town on my mountain bike in association with the Red Cross Children's Hospital trust. The trip will take a month with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust. Please show your support by checking out and liking their Facebook page. Each like adds a sweet to the sweetie jar for the kids. All support is greatly appreciated and helps the trust. https://www.facebook...529241593752685 The Children's Hospital Trust has some of the most friendly and dedicated people I have ever met. They are in need of donations and support to continue helping kids in need of medical support. The Trust is funded from an endowment, ensuring that 100% of all donations received are used towards the projects and programmes they fund. Not a cent is used for administration or operational expenses. If you can make a donation it would be really awesome and will make a big difference. http://childrenshosp....za/donate-now/ Reference: CapetoLesotho For more info on the trip and if you would like to follow it check out the Facebook page below. I will post updates as I go along https://www.facebook...esothoByBicycle

  3. Hey guys, I have been a bit out of the cycling loop for a few years now but getting back into it. Im keen to come try out the racing at killarney race track. I cant seem to find much info on it. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me the low down on it. Is it on Tuesday or Wednesday? How much to enter and what is the event? Do you just race as many laps as you want or is there a set race distance? Thanks
  4. Hey there. I lost my multitool at the top of downhill 3 in Tokai this morning. Its a Topeak tool with chain break http://www.cyclelab.com/products/TOPEAK%20HEXUS%20FOLDING%20TOOL%20WITH%20CHAIN%20BREAKER.aspx If anyone found it please let me know I really dig that tool. Thanks
  5. The problem with 29er Downhill bikes is that those big wheels arnt very strong. Because of the larger wheel radius, more leverage can be applied by lateral force causing the wheel to break way before a 26er would.

  8. Hey guys. I heard that once a carbon frame and fork has been in a crash it cant be ridden again even if its not cracked? Is it ok to ride a carbon frame and fork if its been in a crash and has no viable cracks? Thanks

Are you getting these peez? I wouldn't recommend them in Cape Town. Those wheels are monsters to control with the Cape winds. I know a few People with those wheels or similar and they all complain that you cant ride them in wind. Otherwise great wheels. Light and stiff. Rather get 50s. Are you sure you want to go tubular?
  12. Hey man. Sorry to hear about your trip. Iv had a similar experience. Maybe these are your bikes! https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=28835&KW=found veyron.2008-07-08 14:24:42

  14. Thanks! I have yet to weigh it with my Eastons because I'm waiting on the shimano free wheel to arrive! But It came in at 7.3KG with another set of similar wheels. Yes the Delphi's are excellent value for money, it has everything I need and was a fraction of the cost of the equivalent polar. And their backup is excellent. I managed to damage mine and blackburn replaced it free of charge.
