Kingdom Rider

Dear Hubbers. I recently advertised my 6.9 Madone on the Hub which was for sale. Thereafter I advertised the Bora Wheels and Mavic R-sys wheels. I regret to inform you that my personal situation thank to GOD has turned around and I no longer need to sell anything. Quite frankly, I am back on my bike as of tommorow in preparation for the summer league. God Bless

Oooops. I must say, that you are very correct when saying that you were supportive of our teams cause. However, that relates to you only. I have not seen the same support with regard to officials, particularly when regulating races, such as the past weekends!

I would like to be very frank about what has happened during the past weekend with John aswell as with another fellow veteran league rider, also from Daikin. By the way, I do not ride for Daikin, yet I am supportive of them as fellow competitors. I am very concerned about the stupid rules which get imposed with regard to licensing and gear, yet the WPCF is not even able to seperate funriders from league riders!!! Quite frankly, the red tape and stupid politics and power play provokes riders to get outspoken and at the same time even consider a different sport. I wonder how many of these officials have ever been on a bicycle? We contribute to the CSA, WPCF, PPA and pay for our events. Sponsors pay for essential services, etc. What purpose does the WPCF still have there? Cycling has become a circus in the Western Cape and it does not surprise me that many road racers rather consider Mountain Biking instead.

Buff, thank you for a sensible remark. Glad that there are some individuals that agree. You see, I have been a cyclist for a good part of "many years" and believe me, I have joined many clubs and I can categorically state that they are all the same. Yes, they cater for recreational riders by means of having group rides etc, but when it comes to the development of potential champions, they spend absolutely zero. The fact that a rider has the ability to do well, simply because he/ she trains much harder then others, should never be a reflection of a club. Simply, because they do not contribute to specifics such as specialised training, supplements, monetary, etc. So for what reason should this fellow Jasper even wish to promote an achievement which has absolutely nothing to do with the club itself.

Thank you, perhaps I should ask you what bike you ride to sniff and find out who I am actually communicating with. You see, the same aspect was raised pertaining to a rider that is sponsored by Daikin. Sponsors are the ones which look after riders and not clubs. You may agree to disagree!!!

Whats with the questions? Whether I am a member or not is once again not relevant. I want harmony to take cognisance of what I had to comment and that is it. If you did not post their write-up, please do not comment. If you did, please explain!!! It would appear as if the bike that I do not ride seems to seek more attention then the issue at hand.

With regard to Harmony WP being on top again, well if you perceive this as such, "congratulations". Pitty, Harmony has very little to do with the success of the cyclists. Quite frankly, what does Harmony contribute towards the success of the individuals. From my source and current yellow jersey wearer in the Vets, "nothing". Johannes du Plessies is sponsored by Durbell Vitakem and I would truly appreciate it if you would refer to that in your write-ups in future, seeing that the sponsor is far more commited to the development and well-being of this cyclist and any other sponsored cyclist. Quite frankly, cyclist join clubs to get licences to participate and that is the only reason. I am therefore of the opinion that your club gets far more exposure then what it really deserves.
