  1. Thanks @love2fly Checking today the rubbish from the water point is gone. Thanks to those that removed it.
  2. Should be near this gps point: https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?lat=-25.93804&lon=27.82125&zoom=16#map=16/-25.93803/27.82125
  3. Statement from Runners of Hope
  4. On 03 May 2025 - a bunch of runners had club runs and set up gazebos at water points where drinks, water etc where given to runners. The clubs involved to my knowledge were Runners of Hope and Fourways Road Runners On the 03 May 2025 around 10:00 this photo was taken on the R540 - the trash from the runner's water point was collected and put into a neat pile. I took the picture and gave the benefit of the doubt that this would be picked up later by the club/s involved. Today, Sunday 25 May 2025 these photos were taken: It is apparent that the neat pile of trash was never picked up by the people responsible for Water Point 1 and has now spread around. Very disappointing to see the litter that the runners/support/water points have left. If anyone has a contact at any of these clubs - perhaps they could be notified to clean up the mess.

  6. Supersport waited till the last minute before the Giro to make a deal with RCS sport last year.
  7. Looking through DSTV do not see Strade Bianchi coverage. Has supersport let us down once again?
  8. Vaalweekblad has an article: https://www.citizen.co.za/vaalweekblad/news/news-news/2025/02/09/matthews-wins-sa-road-cycling-title/ Does any country have live coverage and big news reports for their national championships? Not sure calling it disgusting is warranted.
  9. See there are 22 SA submissions so far. If you would like to add your favourite riders through history here is the link: https://www.procyclingstats.com/favorite500/your-list

  11. On the Giro d' Italia website it says supersport is the SA broadcaster. However looking at the TV guide there is nothing planned for the Giro on Supersport channels. Is there any info out there on whether Supersport will show the Giro 2024?
  12. Is there a way to watch the tour without commentary?
  13. Checked today - the "litter zone" area and surrounds are clean again. No wrappers or trash seen. Thank you.
  14. Noticed that during the Montecasino classic race a "Litter Zone" sign had been put up on Sterkfontein Caves Road about 200m from the corner to the R563. Direction was going towards the R540. Appears that the "Litter zone" sign was put up by race organisers for the Montecasino Classic. Today riding past the area it is full of trash - litter from the race - 100s of gel wrappers and random junk from the riders. The "Litter zone" sign was gone... Was this litter zone created by race organisers? who was responsible for it? Why create a litter zone - when the zone will not be cleaned up afterwards? Support for the race has to be questioned now - as the environment was left in a worse off state due to this race. Poor show.
  15. Amateur holds the wheel and Remco whines - ruining the video. Reminder to pro and cyclists who think they are good - you do not own the road. Everyone is free to do as they please on the road as long as it does not endanger other road users.
