I have not registered for a race licence for about four years, but would like to do so again. Does the application still ask you to indemnify various people such as council workers while you are on training rides and outside of an organised race? I once queried why one would be expected to give up these rights by the governing body of a sport which should actually be looking out for its members, and was told that they merely copied most of the document from a form obtained overseas. I hope this is no longer the case, does anyone know wether or not we still have to unreasonably waive our rights in order to obtain a race licence?
