  1. OK OK I am over my anger now, sorry for offending all of you. Please look behind you when you clear snot, it's good form and respectful to others
  2. Funny that, he put his title next to his name not me
  3. Thats why it is called Rant and Rave in case you hadn't noticed
  4. So Forum Manager that I could see how people like you react
  5. Funny how you came to that conclusion! Comprehension not your big thing I take it. She was on her own and she was riding a road bike. What difference does it make what bike you ride where?
  6. She wasnt wheel sucking them, they had slowed down and she was busy coming through on the downhill. And why would you relieve yourself on a wheel sucker in any case?? Taking a social road ride is not the world champs
  7. To the 2 roadie *********s who blew snot all over my wife this morning coming down Llandudno - you weak ass jokers, you knew she was there riding behind you. What is wrong with you **** head???? Try that trick on me and I'll stick my entire arm down your throat.
  8. If the Light Weight wheels come with that bike for R32k I'll take 2 please. Can you tell us more about the bike - can it seriously be considered a TT bike or is it rather just a road bike with a TT seatpost? Frames come with a nice warranty so may be one to watch after all
  9. I had Lefties for about 8years and fully geared myself with spares and tools to self service. Also had all the recommended fluids and greases as prescribed by Cannondale. Lefty is a good fork if you maintain it often (every 20hrs) and service every 50hrs. When they work they give a nice ride but the pros dont outweigh the cons for me.
  10. Nope, he is not the only one. I am sticking to old school 26. Also just bought Specialized Epic S-Works with triple front (Race Face Next SL)and 11-32 rear. It's worked for me for soooo long I can't convince myself to change.
  11. I have only had fantastic service from Polar. They are at Argus expo and at Epic backing up their products. I have a 720i which just keeps going despite the abuse I put it through. Have replaced watch straps, batteries and on one occasion the agent replaced the entire unit because they found a crack in the casing which they said was a factory fault. This was replaced when the unit was out of warranty. Pity some guys don't have the same experience but I think their service is world class.
  12. It does seem like a tempting idea but that just creates a whole bunch more aggression - I am hoping he just takes note and gives it a think
  13. To the dude who switched me in the V&A waterfront on Saturday morning - if you don't improve your attitude you may be the next statistic especially because you were on your bike and I was in my car! What was really priceless is the fact that you had your VA racing board on your bike - priceless!
  14. Respect. A very sad loss. RIP
  15. A friendly warning to cyclists that travel to events by plane. I have just returned from an event in Europe. I did insure my bike but did not insure my luggage. Needless to say my bag never left Europe and trying to work with the airlines to trace lost baggage is like sticking needles in your eyes. I calculated an inventory of the contents and with race shoes, wetsuit, glasses etc etc etc it quickly added up to roughly R40k. The bottom line is you can claim a max of about R12,500 (still some funny rules that apply here). Luckily I had extra travel insurance through Visa which covers me for about another $3000 but if you did not take this out you would be a poor man/ or woman. (I might not be able to lodge a full claim as the insurers want proof of ownership - I am sure some of us don't keep the till slip for a pair of cycling shoes (R2,800.00) or a tri wetsuit (R4,500), or even a tri suit (R1,400), or a pair of Assos shorts (R2,500) and the list grows quickly) I have learned my lesson the expensive way so the moral of the story is to take an inventory of your kit before you travel and privately insure and specify all items. It may seem like an amateur mistake but I am sure many of us take travel for granted. Thanks Lufthansa for loosing my bag
