  1. Stolen: Giant Propel 2019 When: 01/12/2023Where: Lentegeur, Cape Town, Western CapePossible stolen bike. After enquiry, priced at 8k. Can’t be right surelyGet further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section.
  2. I love this conversation, especially because I read here what I see on the roads daily. Titan Racing bikes punch way above their weight in value. To me it doesn't really matter because it's ALL IN THE LEGS. My 2019 Valerian Pro with full Ultegra Disc (hydraulic) and a carbon frame is slap bang in between comfort and racing, so great! It was a shop demo so at R27k unbeatable spec-wise. That is value for money because the same specs on "you-know-which-brands" will be R50k + Since you guys mention Giant, their wheels are great too, and as many weekenders swop their alloys in the shop for carbon, I grabbed a pair of 2nd hand but unused alloys that fly!
  3. There's additional charges(on top of the R28 PO charge)) for clothing items though. Not sure how much. This includes helmets and shoes
  4. I say we as cyclists do a "Clicks/H&M-EFF" protest lol. Mindboggling that this franchise group more than likely, single-handedly created the market of stolen bike sales.
  5. I ride the Valerian Pro, and my cycling has improved dramatically. Exactly where you were 12months ago. Yes im fitter, but first time on a disc/carbon full ultegra, it does make a difference. I've looked, and most other brands in this class are 10-20k more expensive. Some bits on the bike they skimped on imo, handlebar, saddle but those are small. You wont look back.
  6. Just saw a post on Facebook RSA secondhand bicycles for sale where someone has been scammed by this laaitie too. Someone apparently paid for a garmin and didn't receive. Tyd vir 'n pakslae
  7. Hi While out on the greenbelt yesterday, I picked up a ryder handpump. Second last single track section before the top. Let me know if you've lost one and we can arrange for reuniting you with your beloved pump. Jacques 0823771871
  8. Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it! Have also realised perhaps better to go back to the 32T chainring, nothing like a proper legburn haha
  9. So I entered and completed my first MTB event and really enjoyed it. I think I did fairly well coming in at 71st out of 318. My question is to the more experienced riders. How does this event compare to others? I would think this was hopefully medium difficulty(apart from the mast climb) but would love to hear what I can expect from other funrides. If you could please rate the following: (compared to other popular events) Difficulty - (if all are at this level I will really enjoy, proper workout without having to get off the bike too often, yes I did get off on the climb) Course condition (pretty good imo - sand wasn't as bad as expected) Size of field (I thought the four groups, two long, two medium was perfect) or any other rating that are important and I don't know about. Any thoughts much appreciated
