  1. Good Day I have this idea to host a FUN race day for balance bikes. It will be hosted in the town I live in and if it grows then who knows. My question is if there is any rules follow or union I need to contact or something to do this or can I just host my own event? Here is an example, my race will be much smaller at first.
  2. Again thank all for their contributions to this topic. So far my mind is at Garmin or Lezyne and the smaller units are well worth it. Then there are people saying use your phone, the problem with that it is big and the readings like gps is not always that good. I personally am using my phone atm and want to change that. The other option I have seen is to get a watch like the forerunner, this way it is multi purpose. The only thing is that you will not have a screen to have a peak at.
  3. I have done the same until last week when it picked up some water damage and I had to replace the screen. Also this samsung a32 gps is up to ****. It jumped around so much on a walk the other day that the walked showed 3 times further then it was.
  4. Wow that probably makes it worth paying a bit more for a Garmin.
  5. Guys thanks for all the comments. So it comes down to this, if I want quality and good support I go Garmin or maybe Wahoo. Thing is my budget can be between 2k to 5k if I can justify the 5k purchase. I am by no means a pro mtb rider and still trying to find my way up the fitness ladder. With that said even this Magene with all the sensors should be fine? Reviews on youtube seems ok. So buy Garmin and add sensors later or just go cheap and have a range of sensors?🤔
  6. Nice I get that garmin has been around for many years and has been top 🐕 and probably still is. I like to give other brands a chance to see what they bring to the table, thing is I have never owned garmin device or a gps computer so I can not compare. All I know is that I can't keep using my phone for tracking as mistakes happen and paying for screen replacements gets expensive.
  7. Thanks everyone for your opinions. I guess any one of them should be fine as it will be my first gps. Seem like Toyota vs Ford or Glock vs CZ. On the classifieds there are a few Garmin 130 plus for sale at about R3k to R3.5k then there is a Sigma Rox 11 for R1700 so I guess if the garmin is not that much better then the sigma could be a good starting point.
  8. So I am looking for a gps computer and dont want t break the bank. I have been looking at the following Sigma rox 11 Garmin 130 plus Lezyene Mega C There is a bit of a price difference but this is part of the question, would paying more for the garmin be worth it. I am an average biker who just wants to see my trips, progress and share on strava. Thanks
