Nic White from Team Medscheme has started a group called Right2Ride and is encouraging cyclists to join and help get awareness going for cyclists. We are really trying to get awareness going, and had an awesome memorial ride last month in memory of all the fallen riders. Nic White the rider from Medscheme that won the Momentum, has started a group called Right2Ride, and I have become involved so that awareness can be promoted. There are riders been knocked off cycles everyday, and we dont hear about any of them, so here is a forum to have our voices heard.

On wednesday last week a cyclist was riding from Franschoek to Stellenbosch when a tractor pulling a trailor overtook him and hit him off his bicycle, he escaped death with a fair amount of bruizing and a few roasties, but his bike was totalled.

There were 3 Cyclists in an bunch of 7 that ended up in hospital due to a drunk driver driving into the bunch. CyclingSA want statistics and Carte Blanche will give us media exposure if we can show that cyclists being injured by motorists are a daily occurrance.
